Africa 1:1 Lab – Artists’ Residency Project, THE OUTCOME

Following Africa 1:1 LAB, the two-months long residency that five African artists attended at AKKA Project Venice in collaboration with Africa First. AKKA Project is pleased to finally showcase the outcome of the artists’ stay in the lagoon city and in contact with the permanent collection of the museum, extending the exhibition held in Ca’ Pesaro, and unveiling the creative process that Option Nyahunzvi, Pamela Enyonu, Alexandre Kyungu, Maina Boniface, Ngugi Waweru undertook during the past few months.

The project culminates with a large site-specific exhibition at Ca’ Pesaro in Venice, from May 20th to October 1st 2023.
