Focus on Africa

AKKA Project's founders Lidija and Kristian Khachatourian have recently taken part in an interview with the journalist Jim Stenman for the renowned BBC News Africa platform, talking about the African continent and its tight relationship with the United Arab Emirates. 

"While some Arab countries may hold dated views about modern-day Africa, the UAE is busy building bridges with the continent through arts and culture", says Stenman. "Dubai is now home to several African-focused galleries that are helping to challenge stereotypes and reimagine what the Gulf's relationship with Africa may look like in the future".
