We are proud to share the news that The Mohamed Amin Collection is currently showcasing at Xposure Photo Festival in Sharjah (UAE), featuring some of the most iconic and renowned photographs by the legendary photojournalist Mohamed (Mo) Amin.
Mo’s lens captured Africa’s defining moments - its struggles, triumphs, and transformations - bringing them to the forefront of global awareness. From colonial decline to independence, from famine and conflict to resilience and hope, his work shaped international perceptions of Africa like no other.
His powerful coverage of the 1984 Ethiopian famine stirred the world’s conscience, inspiring Band Aid, USA for Africa, and Live Aid, ultimately saving millions of lives. Throughout his career, Mo braved unimaginable challenges - 28 days of torture, bombings, bullets, and even the loss of his left arm in an explosion - yet remained steadfast in his mission to tell Africa’s story.
Visit Xposure Photo Festival to experience the extraordinary work of a man who didn’t just cover the news - he made history.
