AKKA Project in collaboration with MUSEC - Museo delle Culture in Lugano, Switzerland, presents a solo exhibition at the museum titled: Filipe Branquinho: Lipiko.
This captivating exhibition is the second chapter of the MUSEC's Global Aesthetics project, dedicated to the exploration of the relationship between contemporary art and the ideological and cultural context in which it moves, which starts from Asia and Africa, today lively artistic experimentation workshops of artistic production.
The exhibition features an impressive collection of thirty works, created between 2018 and 2023, where Branquinho explores the social issues, popular customs, mythologies, and urban dynamics of his native Mozambique. Filipe Branquinho's artistic approach explores the realm of political and social relevance, using art as a medium to address pressing issues.
