"This is the first painting of a series of four that represents the figure of a night dancer looking to be noticed wherever he goes; an entertainer that spends the night jumping from one place to another, lost, but looking for himself. He also represents the figure of what we call in changana, a local language in Mozambique, a « molwene », someone that can be a homeless, but also someone that doesn’t like neither obey to the common rules of the society; a tramp, a beggar; a character that we can find in the dead of the night in the streets of Maputo."
