AKKA Project is excited to announce its exhibition project for YouNique - Boutique Fair of Arts, taking place from 28 to 30 March 2025 at Villa Ciani, Lugano, Switzerland. For the first time, AKKA Project will introduce contemporary African art to this prestigious fair, offering a fresh and dynamic perspective to the European art scene.

Our selection features outstanding artists whose works highlight the vibrancy, diversity, and innovation of contemporary African creativity: Gonçalo Mabunda transforms decommissioned weapons into powerful sculptures that speak of resilience and redefined historical memory; Osaru Obaseki explores identity through textured portraits rich in cultural symbolism, bridging tradition and modernity; Reinata Sadimba, a celebrated Mozambican ceramicist, infuses her sculptures with ancestral Makonde influences, telling stories of womanhood and heritage; Pamela Enyonu's bold, mixed-media works challenge societal norms, engaging with themes of gender and identity; Filipe Branquinho portrays the soul of Mozambique with striking photography that reveals deep social narratives.

Join us at YouNique 2025 to discover bold expressions, rich stories, and innovative techniques that define contemporary African art. More details will come soon.
