AKKA Project is pleased to announce its second participation at AKAA – Also Known As Africa – Fair 2023, an art fair dedicated to artists from Africa and its diaspora, happening in Parisfrom 20th to 22nd October 2023.

AKKA Project will present a selection of works by some of its most-established African artists: discover the art by Filipe Branquinho (b. 1977, Mozambique), Pamela Enyonu (b. 1985, Uganda)  and Alexandre Kyungu (b. 1992, DRC).

During the fair, we are thrilled to unveil previously unreleased works by Filipe Branquinho, offering an immersive journey into the profound essence of African culture. Alongside him, Pamela Enyonu will introduce her latest body of work, which explores her intimate and profound connection to the concept of "home," drawing inspiration from her recent residency at AKKA Project Venice. Last but certainly not least, the captivating installations by Alexandre Kyungu will provide a fresh perspective on the age-old practice of scarification.
