“I personally believe that the human body is the purest form of art. Every single bit of it. Nudes in particular. I love Portraits as well because they’re full of emotion even with a blank face you can read so much, especially in their eyes.”

Patti Endo was born in 1997 in Tokyo, Japan from a Japanese mother and Kenyan father and currently lives and works in Nairobi, Kenya.
Studied Fine Art Painting and Critical Thinking at the University of Brighton, UK, and then came back to Kenya where joined the Kuona Artist Collective in 2016.
Patti Endo’s curiosity is drawn to the mysteries of the human body. Through exploratory and intimate figurative and minimalist drawings, Endo documents her inner and outer states of being, spontaneously seeking and charting her path in the world, memorializing both the painful and triumphant facets of her existence.
She works primarily in fine graphic inks and sparse line compositions. Her drawings are intimate, shameless, exploratory, and sensual, allowing the viewer to look inside themselves, to reconsider their stereotypes, of those around them, to remind us of the brevity of youth, beauty, and life itself, to challenge modes of perceptions of reality, and to question where in fact our very identity lies and how it is constructed.
Patti has participated in several group exhibitions in Nairobi and Dubai, as well as solo exhibitions in Japan.
